Basketball Recap: Winston Extends Winning Streak to Three

Winston entered their tilt with Pattonsburg on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Pattonsburg Panthers with a sharp 45-20 victory. The Red Birds have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 25 points or more this season.

Winston is also on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.6 points per game. As for Pattonsburg, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Coincidentally, Winston and Pattonsburg will both be playing Albany the next time they take the court. Winston will head out to face Albany at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, while Pattonsburg will host them at 7:30 p.m. on January 21st.
