Basketball Recap: River Road Gets the Win

River Road hadn't done well against Canadian recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The River Road Wildcats skirted past the Canadian Wildcats 41-39. This was payback for River Road, who suffered a 53-44 loss the last time these two teams met.

Alex Warren was a one-man wrecking crew for River Road as he almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Malakai Miller, who posted eight points.

River Road's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-8. As for Canadian, they now have a losing record at 10-11.

River Road will be playing at home against Tulia at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. River Road is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.8 points per game this season. Canadian has already played their next contest (against Bushland), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
