Football Recap: Pendleton/Nixyaawii Community Takes a Loss

Pendleton/Nixyaawii Community was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 27-21 heartbreaker at the hands of the Baker Bulldogs. Surprisingly, this marked the Buckaroos' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Pendleton/Nixyaawii Community's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Baker, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pendleton/Nixyaawii Community will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on The Dalles at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. As for Baker, they will take on La Grande at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
