Football Recap: Pekin Comes Up Short

Pekin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 34-7 loss at the hands of the Washington Panthers. If the Dragons were looking for revenge after losing 19-9 to the Panthers when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Pekin's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Washington, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Pekin is set to challenge their familiar foe Morton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Washington will take on rival Limestone at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
