Softball Game Preview: Coral Park Rams vs. Southridge Spartans

The Coral Park Rams will face off against the Southridge Spartans at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Coral Park and seven for Southridge dating back to last season.

Monday just wasn't the day for Coral Park's offense. They came up short against South Dade on Monday, falling 15-0.

Meanwhile, Southridge lost 22-3 to TERRA Environmental on Thursday.

Alizaya Escobar was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Darelis Chaparro, who scored a run and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-3.

Southridge's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Coral Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.

Coral Park was able to grind out a solid victory over Southridge in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 18-14. Will Coral Park repeat their success, or does Southridge have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
