Softball Recap: Cedar Park Gets the Win

Cedar Park took a eight-run defeat the last time they faced off against Rouse, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Timberwolves narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Raiders 5-3. This was a revenge game for the Timberwolves: when they faced off against the Raiders back in March, they had to take a 12-4 loss.

Cedar Park's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-13. As for Rouse, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-9-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Cedar Park is set to challenge their familiar foe Lockhart at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Rouse will square off against rival Leander at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Raiders have won four straight at home, while the Lions won six straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
