Basketball Recap: South St. Paul Comes Up Short

South St. Paul was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took an 81-73 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hastings Raiders. While losing is never fun, the Packers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 183rd, while the Raiders are ranked 38th).

South St. Paul's loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Hastings, they pushed their record up to 19-5 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South St. Paul will take on Tartan at 7:00 p.m. on February 28th. As for Hastings, they will square off against St. Thomas Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
