Laney is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed past Josey to the tune of 52-0 on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Wildcats needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Meanwhile, Butler took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 52-6 win over Glenn Hills. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now won four in a row.

Laney's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Butler, their victory bumped their record up to 2-5.

Laney didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Butler in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, but they still walked away with a 22-18 win.
