Soccer Recap: Southeast vs. Shorecrest Prep
After flying high against Bayshore last Thursday, Southeast came back down to earth. The Southeast Seminoles took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Shorecrest Prep Chargers on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Seminoles of the 2-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2023.
Southeast's loss dropped their record down to 1-3-1. As for Shorecrest Prep, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-0-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southeast will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Charlotte at 7:30 p.m. Charlotte is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.5 goals per game this season. As for Shorecrest Prep, they will challenge Academy at the Lakes at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
