Softball Recap: Incarnate Word Takes a Loss

Incarnate Word was the 6-4 winner over Pearsall when they last played one another back in March of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Incarnate Word Shamrocks took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pearsall Mavericks on Thursday. The Shamrocks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Incarnate Word's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Pearsall, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2-2 record this season.

Incarnate Word wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 4-2 loss against Clemens on the 27th. As for Pearsall, they have also already played their next game, a 5-2 defeat against La Grange on the 27th.
