Baseball Recap: Percy Sutton Comes Up Short

Percy Sutton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 10-1 to the Douglass Academy Lions. The N/A were not able to make up for their defeat to the Lions from their previous meeting back in March of 2023.

Percy Sutton saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was AJ Malin, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Malin has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Eduardo Benjamin also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Percy Sutton's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Douglass Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

While Percy Sutton had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
