Baseball Recap: H-L-V Takes a Loss

If H-L-V was feeling good fresh off their 18-0 takedown of English Valleys on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Warriors took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Iowa Valley Tigers on Monday. Warriors fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Tigers since on Monday.

H-L-V's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-4. As for Iowa Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season.

H-L-V will head out to square off against Sigourney at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Savages will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight. As for Iowa Valley, they will be playing at home against Montezuma at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers are facing the Braves at the right time seeing as the Braves are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
