Softball Recap: Northwest Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Northwest's offense. They came up short against the Tuslaw Mustangs on Friday, falling 11-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Indians in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost four in a row.

Northwest saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lily Lyons, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Northwest's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Tuslaw, they pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coming up, Northwest will be playing in front of their home fans against Washington at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tuslaw, they will venture away from home to square off against Claymont at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Claymont's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so Tuslaw's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
