Basketball Recap: Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest Takes a Loss

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat. They were outmatched by the McAllen Bulldogs and fell 82-34. The Javelinas were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-17.

McAllen's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was D'Aundre Canada, who went 7 for 10 on his way to 15 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Dalton Britton was another key player, going 8 of 9 en route to 19 points and six boards.

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest's loss dropped their record down to 2-16. As for McAllen, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-8.

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest will face off against Rowe at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th. McAllen has already played their next matchup, a 66-45 victory against Pioneer on the 21st.
