Baseball Recap: O'Bryant Takes a Loss

O'Bryant was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of Boston International. Tigers fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against Boston International since on Tuesday.

Edward Santana made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. He is becoming a predictor of O'Bryant's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 1-6 when he doesn't). Karin Montes De Oca was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

O'Bryant's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Boston International, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-2.

Coming up, O'Bryant is taking a road trip to square off against Excel Academy Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Boston International will be paying especially close attention to O'Bryant's matchup: after O'Bryant faces off against Brighton/Boston Academy, they'll take on Boston International again at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
