Softball Recap: Halifax Takes a Loss

Halifax lost against Line Mountain back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 7-5. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bebe Roland put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 13 batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off 11 hits (and only one walk). With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 6 strikeouts per game. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Roland wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was McKenna Peryea, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI.

Halifax's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Line Mountain, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Coming up, Halifax will welcome Susquenita at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Line Mountain has already played their next contest (against Upper Dauphin Area), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
