Basketball Game Preview: North Monterey County Condors vs. Watsonville Wildcatz

North Monterey County has won three straight games at home, while Watsonville has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The North Monterey County Condors will host the Watsonville Wildcatz at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

North Monterey County will bounce into Friday's match after beating Stevenson, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. North Monterey County walked away with a 41-33 win over Stevenson on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Watsonville made easy work of Rancho San Juan on Wednesday and carried off an 87-63 victory.

North Monterey County better keep an eye on Leon Madec. He was instrumental in Watsonville's win, shooting 4-for-6 from beyond the arc and dropping a double-double with 37 points and ten rebounds. Max Aceves was another key player, going 6-for-12 to rack up 15 points and six assists.

Watsonville is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.6 points over those games. As for North Monterey County, their win bumped their record up to 15-7.

North Monterey County beat Watsonville 72-65 when the teams last played back in January. Will North Monterey County repeat their success, or does Watsonville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
