Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of T'maea Eteuati and Mari Nichols Lead Davis to Victory

A well-balanced attack led Davis over Weber in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. The Davis Darts took down the Weber Warriors 55-36. The Darts have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Warriors, too.

Leading Davis to victory were Mari Nichols and T'Maea Eteuati. Nichols went 5 for 8 en route to 15 points, while Eteuati posted 11 points and four steals. Eteuati has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kate Willard, who scored six points and three steals.

Davis was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Weber only racked up five assists.

Bradey Schiffman and Katelyn Poulsen certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Schiffman earned 11 points and six rebounds, while Poulsen went 5 of 7 on her way to 10 points. Maddie Mckay also deserves some recognition as she scored her first point of the season.

Davis is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Weber, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season.

Davis will head out on the road to face off against Fremont at 5:15 p.m. on January 31st. As for Weber, they will welcome Farmington at 5:15 p.m. on January 31st.
