Saltillo won the last time they faced Mooreville and things went their way on Thursday too. The Saltillo Tigers came out on top against the Mooreville Troopers by a score of 66-57. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Saltillo got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jack Conner Howell out in front who went 7 of 13 from beyond the arc on his way to 22 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Crayden Shannon, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 20 points and five steals.

Saltillo has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for Mooreville, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5.

Saltillo will be taking part in a tournament against Coffeeville on Saturday. Saltillo is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.9 points per game this season. As for Mooreville, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Corinth at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
