Softball Recap: Templeton Eagles vs. Nipomo Titans
Templeton won the last time they faced Nipomo and things went their way on Friday too. The Templeton Eagles came out on top against the Nipomo Titans by a score of 7-4. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 10, 2018, but that streak is no more.
Tegan Jay spent all 7.2 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on nine hits.

At the plate, Templeton got a massive performance out of Bailey Fiorenza, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 3-for-4. Those three stolen bases gave Fiorenza a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Emma Kriling, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
The victory got Templeton back to even at 1-1. As for Nipomo, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
Templeton has already played their next game, an 8-0 win against Cabrillo on the 3rd. As for Nipomo, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 7-5 defeat against Mission College Prep on the 4th.
