Soccer Game Preview: Jacobs vs. Grant Community

The Jacobs Golden Eagles will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against the Grant Community Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Grant Community took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Jacobs, who comes in off a win.

Jacobs is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Guilford. Jacobs was the clear victors by a 5-2 margin over Guilford on Tuesday. The Golden Eagles haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Jacobs hit Guilford with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Kayla Konkey (2), Sam Diaz, Braelyn Schwartz, and Avery Maloney.

Meanwhile, Grant Community came up short against Mundelein on Monday, falling 7-1. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meetings.

Jacobs came out on top in a nail-biter against Grant Community in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Does Jacobs have another victory up their sleeve, or will Grant Community turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
