The victory was some much-needed relief for the Spartans as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Cypress Lakes who won the one that mattered. The final set scores came out to 25-5, 19-25, 25-11, 22-25, 16-14.
