Softball Recap: Bushnell-Prairie City Comes Up Short

Bushnell-Prairie City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 41st straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 10-0 to the Farmington Farmers. The Spartans were not able to make up for their loss to the Farmers from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Bushnell-Prairie City's defeat dropped their record down to 0-24. As for Farmington, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-10.

Looking ahead, Bushnell-Prairie City will host Mendon Unity at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mustangs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.17 runs per game on average), something the Spartans will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Farmington, they will venture away from home to square off against Astoria/VIT at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
