Basketball Recap: Sunset Comes Up Short

Sunset was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a 48-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lake Oswego Lakers. The Apollos were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lakers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Sunset's record is now 2-9. As for Lake Oswego, they pushed their record up to 7-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sunset will square off against West Salem at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lake Oswego, they will face off against St. Mary's Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Oswego is facing St. Mary's Academy at the right time seeing as St. Mary's Academy is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
