Basketball Game Preview: East Iberville Tigers vs. Denham Springs Yellowjackets

The East Iberville Tigers and the Denham Springs Yellowjackets will round out the year against one another at at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, East Iberville was able to grind out a solid win over South Terrebonne, taking the game 53-45. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Meanwhile, Denham Springs put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 61-24 victory over Glen Oaks. The Yellowjackets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 20 points or more this season.

Denham Springs' win came from a few key players East Iberville will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jermaine OConner, who went 7 of 11 en route to 16 points and three steals. The contest was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Trae Dorsey, who posted ten points and four steals.

East Iberville is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Denham Springs, they pushed their record up to 13-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
