Volleyball Recap: Riverton's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Riverton had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Bishop Ward Cyclones. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Rams also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2018.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Riverton was: they took both sets by at least 16 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-8.

Gracie Rantz paced Riverton's offense, picking up seven kills. Rantz got some help from Ava Price and her 25 assists. Price was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Riverton's win bumped their record up to 27-4-1. As for Bishop Ward, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-17-8.

Coincidentally, Riverton and Bishop Ward will both be playing Maur Hill Prep-Mount Academy the next time they take the court. The Cyclones will head out to face the Ravens at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Rams will play them later in the day, at 2:30 p.m.
