Soccer Recap: Sedro-Woolley Takes a Loss

Sedro-Woolley lost against Squalicum back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cubs lost 5-1 to the Storm. While losing is never fun, Sedro-Woolley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 149th, while Squalicum are ranked 43rd).

This is the second loss in a row for Sedro-Woolley and nudges their season record down to 3-7. As for Squalicum, they pushed their record up to 7-2-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Sedro-Woolley will face off against Meridian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sedro-Woolley will be up against Meridian's rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.6 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Squalicum, they will square off against Bellingham at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
