Volleyball Recap: West Hills Comes Up Short

After flying high against El Cajon Valley on Tuesday, West Hills came back down to earth. The Wolf Pack fell just short of the Grossmont Foothillers by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Wolf Pack's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

West Hills took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-22, 20-25, 25-12, 15-8.

Leading Grossmont to victory were Ciarrah Doliente and Kayla Kenis. Doliente had 16 digs and three assists, while Kenis had four digs and four aces. That's the most assists Doliente has posted since back in September.

West Hills' loss dropped their record down to 9-23. As for Grossmont, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 21-10 record this season.

As of now, neither West Hills nor Grossmont have any future games scheduled.
