Bishop Kenny had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They had just enough and edged out the Providence School Stallions 3-2. The Crusaders haven't had any issues with the Stallions recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Bishop Kenny took Providence School into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-21, 25-23, 23-25, 15-13.

Lilian Heldenbrand paced Bishop Kenny's offense, picking up 19 kills. Heldenbrand got some help from Sophia Miller and her 39 assists. Lauren McCarthy and Mia Ancayan kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.
