Recap: Elizabeth Minutemen vs. Constitution Generals
After a string of four wins, the Elizabeth Minutemen's's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 75-74 to Constitution. Despite running the score up even higher than they did last Thursday (63), Elizabeth still had to take the loss.
Elizabeth's loss came despite strong showings from London Carson and Cameron Mcrae. Carson dropped a double-double on 19 points and 14 rebounds, while Mcrae scored 19 points. Carson also posted two+ blocks for the first time this season. Jayden Johnson was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Elizabeth's loss dropped their record down to 4-1. As for Constitution, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.
Elizabeth and Sanford will round out the year against one another at 1:30 p.m. on Friday at. Sanford presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Elizabeth in their respective states (Sanford is ranked third in Delaware, while Elizabeth is ranked 75th in New Jersey). Constitution won't have much time to rest: their next game is against New Town at 5:00 p.m. on December 28th.
