Baseball Recap: Louis E. Dieruff Comes Up Short

Louis E. Dieruff was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Catasauqua Rough Riders. The Huskies were not able to make up for their defeat to the Rough Riders from their previous meeting back in May of 2025.

Aaron Jorge made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. That triple was his first of the season.

Louis E. Dieruff's loss dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Catasauqua, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-10.

Looking ahead, Louis E. Dieruff will venture away from home to challenge William Allen at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Canaries' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Huskies' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Catasauqua, they will welcome Bangor at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
