Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Albany). They came out on top against the Amite Warriors by a score of 81-70 on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 69-57 back in January.

When it comes to explaining why Amite lost, don't look at Curtissiyah Jenkins. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double with 35 points and ten rebounds. That was a full 50% of Amite's points, marking the sixth time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Kayla Toefield, who dropped a triple-double with 15 points, ten boards, and ten assists.

Albany is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-11 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points over those games. As for Amite, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 16 games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 9-16 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Albany will host Springfield at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Amite, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Bogalusa at 6:00 p.m. Amite is facing Bogalusa at the right time seeing as Bogalusa is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
