Basketball Recap: Bainbridge Comes Up Short

Bainbridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 60-58 heartbreaker at the hands of the Dougherty Trojans. The Bearcats were probably out for revenge after losing 37-25 to them when the teams met back in February of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Jatiana Chambers was her usual excellent self, putting up 25 points along with six assists and five rebounds for Dougherty. Another player making a difference was Amiyah Jackson, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 boards.

Bainbridge's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Dougherty, they pushed their record up to 11-9 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Bainbridge has already played their next contest, a 55-37 loss against Monroe on the 18th. Dougherty has also already played their next game (against Peach County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
