Baseball Game Preview: Amador Buffaloes vs. Argonaut Mustangs

For the second straight game, Amador will face off against Argonaut. The Buffaloes will square off against the Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Amador will bounce into Thursday's matchup after beating Argonaut, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Buffaloes' pitcher stepped up to hand the Mustangs a 10-0 shutout on Tuesday. The Buffaloes not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 3rd (when they won 10-0).

Dominic Fillmore was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Amador's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-0-1 (and 8-12 when he doesn't). Johnny Melton was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Amador was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Argonaut only posted a batting average of .143.
