Volleyball Recap: Bells Takes a Loss

Bells came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Gunter Tigers, falling 3-0. The Panthers were not able to make up for their loss to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Bells was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-14, 25-22.

Bells' defeat ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 18-14. As for Gunter, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-11 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Bells is set to challenge their familiar foe Howe at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Gunter will square off against rival Pottsboro at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
