Volleyball Recap: Norwell Takes a Loss

Norwell was the 3-1 winner over Silver Lake Regional when they last played one another back in October of 2018, but their luck changed this time around. The Clippers lost 3-0 to the Lakers on Friday. The Clippers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Norwell ultimately came up short, they really made Silver Lake Regional work, particularly in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 27-25, 25-10.

Silver Lake Regional found their leader in freshman Isabella Manikas, who had 23 assists and four aces. Those 23 assists set a new season-high mark for Manikas.

Norwell's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Silver Lake Regional, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-9 record this season.

Norwell didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Hingham on the 14th. As for Silver Lake Regional, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Plymouth North on the 15th.
