Soccer Recap: Ponca City Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bixby, Ponca City was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They never let the Chickasha Fighting Chicks get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Wildcats as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Ponca City's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Chickasha, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ponca City will take on Bartlesville at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chickasha, they will challenge Duncan at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chickasha's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
