Bauxite put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. Their defense stepped up to hand the Malvern Leopards a 5-0 shutout. Considering the Miners have won four games by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Bauxite's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those five contests. As for Malvern, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bauxite will take on Hope at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bauxite has yet to allow a single goal through five matches this season, a streak Hope will look to end. As for Malvern, they will challenge Mena at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Malvern has given up an average of 5.7 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.
