Basketball Recap: Lake Travis Comes Up Short

After flying high against Sherman last Saturday, Lake Travis came back down to earth. The Lake Travis Cavaliers fell to the Dripping Springs Tigers 59-54. The Cavaliers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Lake Travis has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season. As for Dripping Springs, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-9.

Lake Travis will challenge Westlake at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Dripping Springs, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Dripping Springs Tigers challenge the Del Valle Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Del Valle knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully Dripping Springs likes a good challenge.
