Softball Recap: Trinity Christian Academy Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Trinity Christian Academy dropped their record down to 9-11 on Monday, which also ended the team's seven-game streak of wins at home. They fell just short of the Sandalwood Saints by a score of 7-5. That's two games in a row now that the Conquerors have lost by exactly two runs.

Adeline Hough made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Nakaela Williams, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs.

As for Sandalwood, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-11. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games.

On Sandalwood's side, Emmie Dawley made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed seven innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. What's more, Dawley posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Madison Seprish was a standout: she went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That's the most stolen bases she has posted over her last ten contests. Britney Pacheco was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trinity Christian Academy will host Wolfson at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Conquerors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolfpack have averaged an impressive 13.5 runs per game this season. As for Sandalwood, they will face off against Harvest Community at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
