Recap: Pinnacle Panthers vs. Monticello Buckaroo
The Pinnacle Panthers lost against the Monticello Buckaroo last Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Pinnacle fell just short of Monticello by a score of 40-37. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Pinnacle has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Pinnacle still got an impressive performance from Cole Barton, who almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine rebounds. Barton is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Howell, who scored five points along with five rebounds.
Pinnacle's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Monticello, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 7-12 record this season.
Pinnacle will look to defend their home court on Friday against Green River at 7:00 p.m. As for Monticello, they will head out on the road to challenge Monument Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Utah (Monument Valley is ranked 137th, while Monticello is ranked 128th).
