Baseball Recap: Roane County Takes a Loss

Roane County suffered their biggest defeat since March 27, 2024 on Friday. They came up short against the Stone Memorial Panthers, falling 9-1. The Yellowjackets' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Roane County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was James Lane, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Roane County's defeat dropped their record down to 13-7-1. As for Stone Memorial, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Roane County will head out to take on Polk County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Stone Memorial, they will venture away from home to face off against White County at 6:00 p.m. on the 21st.
