There's no place like home for Romeoville, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They came out on top against the Plainfield Central Wildcats by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Spartans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Romeoville easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-20.

Julia Furczon paced Romeoville's offense, picking up five kills. Furczon got some help from Aubree Westerfield and her 13 assists. Kara Mark controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Despite the defeat, Plainfield Central had strong showings from Isabella Ricketts, who had 11 digs and three aces, and Joelyna Gomez, who had seven digs.

Romeoville's win ended a four-match drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 7-20. As for Plainfield Central, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-17.

Romeoville has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against St. Laurence on the 15th. As for Plainfield Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Oswego East on the 16th.
