Basketball Recap: Barnum Comes Up Short

If Barnum was feeling good fresh off their 87-56 takedown of Mesabi East last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Barnum Bombers came up short against the Staples-Motley Cardinals on Saturday, falling 67-45. The contest marked the Bombers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Barnum's defeat dropped their record down to 18-9. As for Staples-Motley, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-12.

Barnum does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Staples-Motley, they will head out to square off against Pequot Lakes at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Staples-Motley has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
