Baseball Recap: Juniata Takes a Loss

Juniata was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Greenwood Wildcats. The Indians were not able to make up for their loss to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Juniata saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Daylyn Kennedy, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base.

Juniata's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3-1. As for Greenwood, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Juniata will take on rival East Juniata at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Greenwood is set to challenge their familiar foe Newport at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
