Basketball Recap: Steinbrenner Find Success

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Steinbrenner walked away with it. They had just enough and edged the Hollins Royals out 54-51. The Warriors didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this win makes it their second in a row.

Douglas Jordan was a one-man wrecking crew for Steinbrenner as he went 8 for 12 en route to 20 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Jordan has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Griffin, who posted nine points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Steinbrenner was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Steinbrenner's victory bumped their record up to 8-18. As for Hollins, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.

Steinbrenner has already played their next contest (against East Lake), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Hollins does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
