Baseball Recap: American Leadership Academy Comes Up Short

American Leadership Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the San Juan Broncos. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Broncos apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2022.

Daxen Stream made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 1-for-1. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two).

American Leadership Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for San Juan, their record is now 5-3.

Looking ahead, American Leadership Academy will welcome Judge Memorial Catholic at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Judge Memorial Catholic has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.83 runs per game on average), something American Leadership Academy will no doubt try to take advantage of. San Juan will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on North Sevier at 2:00 p.m. on March 26th.
