Softball Recap: Lake Minneola Hawks vs. Tavares Bulldogs
Lake Minneola was the 15-10 winner over Tavares when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Hawks fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Lake Minneola saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nevaeha Parra, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Maddy Hobby also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Lake Minneola's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Tavares, with the victory, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-7.
Looking ahead, Lake Minneola will venture away from home to square off against Belleview at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Tavares, they are taking a road trip to take on Mount Dora at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
