Soccer Recap: Athens Takes a Loss

Athens and Selinsgrove squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Athens had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Seals by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, Athens can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 260th, while Selinsgrove are ranked 126th).

Athens has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-6-2 record this season. As for Selinsgrove, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-8-2.

As of now, neither Athens nor the Seals have any future games scheduled.
