Bigfork faced Columbia Falls in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Vikings & Valkyries walked away with a 3-1 win over the Wildcats. The Vikings & Valkyries haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Bigfork was especially dominant in the second set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-15, 20-25, 25-19.

Somer Campos paced Bigfork's offense, picking up ten kills. Campos got some help from Taylor Howlett and her 28 assists. Howlett was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Despite the defeat, Columbia Falls saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ava Scholz had 34 digs. Those 34 digs set a new season-high mark for Scholz.

Bigfork's win bumped their record up to 26-8-1. As for Columbia Falls, their loss dropped their record down to 13-8-1.
